Apologies for my sense of humour but a hand held macro shot of a flower in our back garden.
Well, they do look like a hot dog bun. LOL Good catch.
I get it and I like it, now I want a hotdog .
Great photo. What lens were you using?

Thank you very much and the lens is the Nikon 105VR macro
Here's another of my wife's flowers. Nothing is set-up, the plant is in our back garden and I am hand holding the camera. No posh flash equipment, props or tripod. I am just someone that enjoys 'snapping' what is in front of the lens.
The second image is showing what I think is pollen?
Beautiful photos. You've sold me on the 105VR. If I could produce images almost as good as these with the 105 I would be happy.

Hi Joe,
Confession time
I looked at what other folks are doing with their lens and then try to emulate that.. I am positive folks will do better using a tripod and all the other items that help set off macro images, but it is not possible for me to do that so I make the most out of what I can do.
I must confess to being a fan of this lens.
Here's a challenge with a macro... Snapping a bee in the wild as it flits from flower to flower.
I would love to somehow 'freeze' those wings but how? :)
This was at 1/4000th at F3 and boy was it a challenge trying to get the pesky thing in focus. In the end I told it to buzz off :)
I see it!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Good one!!!
