So I probably didn't need to spend this much on a lens but I wanted an "awesome" lens to add to the meh kit lens. Bought a 35mm LE 2.8 because I thought a fixed lens with this much low light ability would be a great lens. The 35mm is great but since I didn't get the 55-210 I think I feel like I want something with a bit more telephoto.. I looked at the 55mm which could work but it's also another $100. Yes I know I don't have to get a ff lens but I haven't seen any lower end Zeiss lenses(Zeiss lenses I mean the middle of the road ones not the high end). Here's what I've been looking at:
18-105 although I don't remember if that needs an adapter.
24-105mm
and the 55mm.

I can't afford to buy one of these AND the 55-210 or I would and that would solve the problem.

Any opinions?

Oh ya..I probably take mostly landscapes but I like taking "macro-like" in other words not true macros AND
I like to be able to zoom in on people and take some people shots anywhere I go..

Just go ahead and get the 55-210 lens and be done with it. It is a very good lens for the money.
And the kit lens is not a bad lens either. I got the 16-50 power zoom lens with my A6000 and have made some very nice images with it. It is also has image stabilization, that most kit lenses don't have.

Since you "like to be able to zoom in on people" why are you even considering a lens that DOES NOT zoom?

the 35mm was a compromise. Since it's such a great lens I thought I wouldn't miss the zoom. I might have been wrong.

The main deciding factor when selecting a lens should be what is most practical to you and your approach to photography.

The Sony a6000 does well with the 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses. That's why Sony paired them in the first place.

Check out DXOMARK's ratings on Sony lenses. The 55-210 ranks towards the bottom of the Sony lenses. I purchased one for the my Sony a6000. It did take some very nice sharp pictures. However, with some shots such as sunrises I felt there was too much compression going on at 200mm plus or minus. Ultimately I sold the lens and replaced it. So for the short term it might be a fine solution, long term depending upon what you are shooting maybe not so much.

Any idea what can I get for a mid range zoom that's a decent lens? I thought if the 35mm I bought wasn't what I expected in terms of what pictures I want to take(otherwise it's an awesome lens) I thought about the 55mm as an alternative even though it's not a midrange..

If you want a full frame zoom get the 24-240mm. Gives you 36-360 on an a6000.

I have the 18-105 and the 70-300 which I use on my 6300. Love them both. I use the 18-105 almost for everything. Glad to hear you like the 35mm because I've been thinking about that one.

The Sony 16-70mm f4 is an excellent lens.

My suggestion is to look at the Sony FE 24-240 lens. I have this lens and is the workhorse on my A7Rm2. It is good quality and produces sharp images.

Use it on both my a6000 and a7ii.

Another vote for the 18-105 "G" glass lens. Also if you take videos, that lens has a power zoom that stays in focus. Just a great lens!
