After I visited with the eaglets, I went to photograph osprey triplets (I know, I know, don't hate me! LOL). I heard a couple of bicyclists go past and say, "Oh look at the deer." So I re-directed my attention and wow!
I actually had to pull back on the zoom as the deer came closer (I was leaning against a rock that was same color as my clothes and I didn't make any major movements). The deer came within 25 feet, I'd say, and then maybe the wind shifted, and it decided to move on. Fun!
Canon SX50, HQ burst mode, edited.
Thanks for viewing!

You are too stinking lucky, Linda!
Only you could have a deer approach closely in a field of flowers. Sheesh! Beautiful shots like these should be framed or on the cover of a wildlife mag. I especially like the first with just the right amount of water color effect.

LOL, you gave me a good chuckle, Donna! I do admit to an enviable number of right time/right place photos with this camera - and the one I wore out before it
As I was leaning against the rock, in the moderate temp sunny morning, I felt very fortunate indeed.
So glad you enjoyed the shots!

Thank you very kindly, Val. It's been a very rewarding few years with that super-zoom for wildlife adventures!

Thank you, Carol! Should I also mention that while watching the eagle nest earlier I saw another gamboling fawn? Or is that just too much good luck in one day?
On the other hand, my attention diverted for just a second, during which Papa eagle arrived at the nest with a fish!
