There has been a lot of discussion about the Nikon D5, much of it critical. I realize that these photos do not have high contrast and the dynamic range of the camera has been much of the criticism. However, these photos were taken after sunset at ISO 16,000. The camera still focuses quickly and accurately in low light and shows very little noise for such a high ISO.

I happen to own a D5 and I have not found anything to criticize it about. It is improvement in many ways from the D4s, which I liked very much over my ownership. It seems I will like this version even more. Many on here who complain neither have it nor understand its use. If I was not shooting sports I would own something else.
I have replaced by brace of D4s bodies with a pair of D5's. Still quite early days but, as I have owned D4 and D4s models over a period of time, I can only state (with honesty) that the D5 is more than a worthy successor.
ps I do not bother reading the critiques (especially on here) from amateur armchair experts who blether on without really knowing what they are talking about ........good for their ego's though, no doubt.....
I think they look very good & have no complaints about Nikon what so ever, great cameras IMO & if some one doesn't like it they are entitled to their opinion .
Very nice shots, especially for the low light situation! Well done.
Very good action shots, btbg!
