Thank you for your quick reply. But you shot it through a window?? a regular window or some kind of camera gimmick because that is crystal clear. Just wonderful

This is a very good photo! The clarity and sharpness are great. I am so glad that you got your camera out of the hospital!

Tom, great shot of the Downey. I haven't seen any on my Hummingbird feeder yet, but I can't see it out my window, it's out back by the deck. Got any more?

I have a few more. This year I am being more picky about shooting hummers. Last year I shot over a billion pix of hummers and that was way too much.

You sure have a nice clean window! Beautiful shots! I spent part of yesterday stalking the 3 hummers we have here, with lame results. For some reason, Christopher scares them, and all birds, away? Jen

When people mention their amazement of shooting through windows, I am not kidding when I simply respond "Windex". Jennifer, let me tell you something else that you might find interesting. If I have the time to sit down for awhile, I plop myself down in a lawn chair with me being between the sun and the hummingbird feeder with my back toward the sun of course. I will be as close as 10ft. away. I simply wait with camera in hand. No remote triggers, no tripods, none of that garbage. In a bright sun, I will set the ISO down to 100, Aperture around F8, and crank that shutter speed way up if that is the effect I am going for and just wait. It is that simple. In your case, you have a little boy to contend with. Easy fix. A stake and about 10ft. of chain will take care of that problem. My mom used to do that with me all time. It got kind of old when I was 25 and she was still doing that to me.
