Another loch :-) .
I'm going to turn you all into experts at subduing Scottish weather :-) . Here's another misty landscape to play with in whatever way you see fit.
I'll post a link to a DNG version underneath the jpg.

I fooled around with this shot and just couldn't make the colors look natural so ....., here's a slightly modified black and white version.
Here is my attempt at dealing with the loch. I tend to make only subtle changes but try to bring out detail. especially sky/clouds. I used only Light Room especially concentrating on use of the gradient filter to deal with the clouds. Exposure and vibrance to bring out the yellow/orange in the plants on the right.
Thanks everybody for participating. I'm glad to see there was detail to be brought out of the clouds, which I think you all succeeded in doing. For anybody that's wondering, that sign close to the right hand edge indicates a passing place on a single track road (in this case the A838).

Nicely dehazed, Shakey. And I think you've realised how typical that soft purplish light is for the highlands.

Yep, did some walking there years ago, mostly in the Cairngorms and in the east of Scotland. Beautiful country.

I finally got a little time to work on this one. Once again, it rained today so only had to work about 1 1/2 hours. Once I got home, I did a quick change or two or three, selectively in ACR starting and then in PS, and kept it pretty much the same with some playing with whites, darks sliders, a little clarity, some dehazing, a little white balance change - temperature by about 200-300 K., and then some selective sharpening. Oh, as the last step, I cropped it ever so slightly. Thanks for some more practice with subduing the Scottish weather!
It looks much better in the download.
Best Regards,
Tom

Glad you found the time, Tom. Your edit looks a lot like how painters of old used to depict highland scenes. You've managed to bring out a subtle beauty. Thanks for contributing.

Thank you Lloyd. I see you and AlMac have gone for a bit of roamin' in the gloamin'. That's a well-implemented change of mood that the scene's well suited to. Thanks for contributing.

You're welcome, AlMac, and thanks for taking part. That glower before the storm is an all too common look for that part of the world.
R.G. here's my contribution. I used Topaz Adjust then back to Elements to play with the colors.
Thanks for letting me play with this beautiful shot!!
