River Terns, like those I posted yesterday are relatively slow moving birds compared to the Little Green Bee Eater. A few action images. Speaks volumes about the fast focus acquisition capability of the D500.

Wow you were definitely not behind the door when the photography gift was passed out. With your talent I doubt if the camera makes that much difference. Keep sending your art.

Thank you Karen! You are right, it is a small bird and it is fast and erratic in its flight path. I'm enjoying the adventure of trying my skills against more challenging subjects. This new camera has opened up new avenues for me.

Absolutely outstanding,

but I am still not going to dump my Canon gear and buy Nikon. I will suffer with my now sub-par 7DII. Besides in a few months someone, Canon, Sony etc will top this and we will all suffer Gear Envy Syndrome and that will lead to many cases of GAS.

You would think these guys were out to get our money or something!
