I rented a couple of rooms at a local turn of the century mansion for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready at, since the wedding was outside at the lake and the bathrooms at the boathouse were not going to work. Now I found out the hard way photographing your daughters wedding with her siblings and their friends is like herding Cats. It was pretty bad that the 3 flower girls and the ring bearer listened better then the adults. But the day went off just perfect and my little girl wanted to look like a princess. She was so happy all day and looked just like a princess.

Great images Greg. I really liked the Bridal Party Shot in number 7, cool concept.

Nice job. My favorites are 4 and 6. Love the brick shot, different not your usual shots. Good stuff.

Beautifully done Greg! Your daughter is an absolutely gorgeous bride.
I shot my oldest daughter's first wedding, and decided to hire someone her second time around. LOT of work, and I did find that my own family never listens to my direction. That being said, the gentleman I hired didn't exactly do what I would have done, in a lot of ways that is good, but I see things that drive me absolutely nuts. So, in the end, I can't really tell you if it is better to shoot your daughter's wedding, or pay someone. Like musicians (I used to do that as well), I think we always see things we would have done differently, and therefore, since it isn't "our" style, we just think they could have been "better."
Anyway, just want to say, beautiful work, and my hat is off my bald head for you taking on the work of shooting your daughter's wedding. I know how much more work it really is, than just shooting a client's wedding.

I know what your talking about the extra work of shooting your Daughters wedding, the worst part was having all the decorating of the hall and setting up for the ceremony outside at the same time with only three hours to get it all done. I had a great crew with my step children setting up the ceremony and reception while the wife and I shot the bridal party getting ready. The best thing that happened to me was loosing my phone because it caused everyone to just read their instructions of what to do, without me having to answer questions every five minutes on the phone. Everyone did such a great job getting everything done just beautifully. P. S. I found my day the next day.
I love shooting at the Elfindale
