I would like some critique on these first two shots. the first shot is from upper antelope canyon, its a slope where sand constantly falls. the second is a woodpecker that i was lucky enough to get a very good light effect on, but it might be a little under exposed. the third picture, i have no clue what that bird is, I've never seen it before and it had peculiar behavior around the ponds. feel free to critique as hard as you want, it will only help me. the third picture (just so you know) is not meant to be critiqued, it is over cropped and and it is not sharp. i would just like to know what it is. thank you all in advance.

A Sandfall! Never seen anything like that before. Looks like a well made shot too.

Thank you mike, actually Julieb had a similar photo of the same sand fall, I liked hers better, try to see of you can find it if you want.
Thank you Sandra for identifying that bird for me
A sandfall? First one I've ever heard of much less seen and its a superb picture.
At first glance the woodpecker appears to have his ear to the tree. Love the look on its face.
Number 3 looks like a bird version of a mutt. Good picture of something I can't identify.
The photo of the red head is great, But look below the bird could this be a sleeping bat, kinda blurry?
You know that's funny, all this time and I never looked at that, I'll look on my monitor to see what it is
It is a knot in the tree, remnance of a broken branch
