Thanks for all the nice comments folks. The causeway is still there but is underwater from half tide, Ferry boats run regularly and that is part of the fun of the place.
Just across the road from where I snapped it, there is a bird sanctuary with a lot of water fowl, so I will post some shots taken with my bridge camera at 1052mm so they are a bit blurred as it was a windy evening.
