Hello fellow Photo enthusiasts! I have used an automatic digital for several years, but missed the SLR format I grew up with. I bit the bullet and bought a Canon T3 and love it. I'm a Realtor and struggle with the typical small rooms. This camera is helping a lot and I take it on ANY outing my wife and I go on. (drives her nuts) I'll post a couple of practice pics I like, and will contribute when I can.
Sincerely,
Bob Killmer

Welcome to the forum, Bob. Nice shots, although the first one is a bit too busy. Since it's your tree and readily available, you might try a different angle so there's not so much behind the bloom your focusing on - much the same as the daffadils in shot 3!
Welcome to the Hog Bob!
Some additional suggestions:
As a realtor you may want to consider getting a wide angle lens for your interior shots.
Learn how to avoid using the built-in flash and leverage available light from windows for your interior shots (that may also mean a tripod...).

What I meant to say her, but may have missed the mark, is that your shot of the daffodils is done well. The flower blooms stand out and the background supports them and doesn't conflict with them. I'm suggesting re-composing the 1st shot in the same way.
Thanks for the support and great feedback. I will watch the backgrounds to give the subject more attention.
I love not paying for film, and cards, thumbdrives etc are so reasonably priced that I'm not shy when it comes to taking lots of shots!
Thank you for your advise on the wide angle. I have picked up a srew-on additional lens, but haven't done much with it yet. I'm sure a stand-a-lone lens would be better, but affordability is always the issue. Now that I have discovered that any film or digital EOS lens will work on my camera, I am constantly looking at Craigslist, etc, for bargan lenses.

Welcome to UHH.
As far as a wide angle, you can get a ROKINON 8 mm F3.5 for about $250. It is manual ( you set the F stop )but the quality of the glass is excellent.
As long as you shoot horizontally, the distortion is acceptable. It really helps when taking inside pictures in cramped quarters.
I do have a bunch of pics taken with that lens ( inside and outside )
