Nice shot...
There's a spot near here across from the Audubon Bird sanctuary in Audubon, PA where they perch on the cattails just like that one. I've as yet been lucky enough to capture one as you did; again, nice shot.

Wow, now that's a creative way to balance. Must have been saving the stalk for a friend. Great shot.

That is unique, and very nice. Not often we get to look over a bird,s shoulder.

Nice capture of the redwing straddling the cat tails. Love it.

Glad you like the RWBB.

I was hangin' at the weed bed waiting for one to land and this one did. One of my favorite birds to foto.

It helped that his red wing patches showed so well; they seldom do from either front or back.

How interesting! How did he do this? Looks impossible. That's what you call "precariously perched"! :)

For me, this is one of the most tricky birds to photograph ...... they move incessantly and catching their wings bars in sunlight means one has to be in just the right place. I'm still trying to capture a good one. When I look at photos like yours, I'm heartened to keep trying. Good on ya Mate!
