The first thing I would do is find out will it work on my camera: in this case your camera. If not sell it for ten dollars and count your blessings! The reason I say this as you did not state what cameras you have and your question is vague as no one can guess what you have?

Post a couple of photos so we can see how well your lens works. I don't question how well it works. I would just like to see.

Apparently the Deitz lenses were made by a company called Makinon in Japan. The eBay link showed your lens selling for $20-$25.

It would expect it to fall into the same class as the Samyang lenses of that period - by no means outstanding, but gets the job done.

If your primary use for the lens is macro, you would probably be happier with a true macro lens. Do a search on this site comments on zoom lenses that have macro in the name and single focal length macro lenses.

Thanks, rw.
Your link shows correlation between Dietz, Toyo Optics, and Makinon.
This link gives more on obscure Toyo, mentioned in your link: http://forum.mflenses.com/toyo-makinon-t35353,highlight,%2Btoyo.html
Toyo made a 75-200, not mentioned in these links.
