Very nice pictures, brings back memories as I was stationed on Treasure Island for about 2 years , therefore I traveled the bay bridge at least half of it many times. It was a double decker then, someone said the new bridge is just one deck coming and going. I also made it into Hunters Point on my ship later for repairs. I understand there is no military at all in the San Francisco area now.

Nice catch on all the photos. They bring back memories as I was stationed on Treasure Island for a couple years, there fore I have traveled the bay bridge many times at least half of it. It was double decker back then, traffic on top deck going one way and bottom deck going other way. Later when I got on a ship we used to pull into Hunters Point for repairs. I understand there is no military at all now in the San Francisco area.

Great set! Loved them all!! The overall tonality you set in PP really added a lot.... Mind telling us a bit more about your Post-processing work? I've used filters in Topaz and some HDR effects in Photomatics to get something similar in the past......

Hi Maverick,

There's probably a lot of change since you were last here. There's a new Bay Bridge now the old one has been torn down at least most of it. Treasure Island is no longer a military base it part of the City and County of San Francisco. Hunters Point is being develop into new housing. There's some images from Treasure Island on my website. Feel free to check them out, they are in the Northern California gallery.

Most of the images were shot in bracketing 3 frames each for HDR on a Nikon. I merge the images in Photomatics. Once I complete all the images from Photomatics, I bring them into Lightroom and edited them there with each development tool. That's pretty much it. I hoped that helps.

You nailed it... they came out great! I'm a big fan of 1.5 - 3 step bracketing w/ a D7100.
