From the post My Image - Your Look: Let's Experiment With Editing let's see what you can do with an image of a Half Dome from Mirror Lake.
- Half Dome http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_Dome

To make it easy I've attached the Canon RAW file and a SOOC JPG, and TIFF to Half Dome
- The image below has been reduced to allow for an easy upload to the site

You have until midnight, Thursday PT to post them here then we'll turn it in for a vote. Enjoy! S-

How would Timothy H. O'Sullivan have done it? (If he had color and if he had made it to Half Dome) I have no clue but that's the thought behind this attempt.

Very nice scene. I see it's inspiring mostly straight edits. Well, here's another one :-) .

Thank you! Yosemite is home, I don't know how to describe it any other way.

My son says, "Time Stands Still" and I have to agree, it's like I've always been there and always will be. There's literally a place on the way up that I feel the world fall away and I enter the state of I Am. It's peace, it's home, it is. S-

Hi Steve,

Well, here is my rendition. I decided to stay with the basic image, but selectively brought out some colors and sharpness and lightened some darker, shaded areas, working from the RAW image. I like the original and the theme, so I just wanted to stay 'within bounds' on this one - it is a very beautiful area having been there about 3-4 years ago. Thanks for allowing us to enter our changes.

I made some edits to the text, so hope this doesn't get duplicated since I am not quite sure of this new format/layout for UHH. If it does duplicate, my apologies offered.

Best Regards,
Tom
