PSE 14 Quick Edit Hovering Problem

I have only had PSE 14 for about a week now. I started watching Lynda.com videos for instruction and noticed that when she used the Quick Edit modes that the image shows the changes as she hovers the cursor over the 9 little change options. Mine does not, even when I use the slider. There is a small image in the bottom left hand corner and it shows the changes. I uninstalled and reinstalled PSE 14, did the same with Adobe Flash just in case, and it still isn't working. I seem to have plenty of computer power to do this, nothing is working overtime or even working hard on my computer. Is there a box I need to 'check' that I haven't found yet to turn on this feature? I have been searching for the answer with no luck so far.

Are using a PC ? Doesn't Lynda us a Mac?

Yes, I am on a PC. I don't know why the program would run differently on a PC versus a Mac.
