I am really struggling to create a Google+ photo album using Windows 10. I have Picasa3 but I want to try making an album without using Picasa. I know which photos I want to use but cannot make an album.
Thanks for any help. I do have a Google account and have access to the photo app. ~FiddleMaker

Well, I am glad I am not alone on this issue.

I think you will find it easier than you feared. Assuming you have already uploaded all the photos you want to put in an album. First, open a browser and home to Google page. Click in Apps, open Photos. You should see all your photo stream.
Then, up top, you will see a little cloud symbol for uploading. Just left of that, a plus (+) symbol. Click on it and a menu opens, one of the choices is "create album". Select that. Then you get to "check" all the photos you want for said album. When finished selecting photos, click on that create button, top right. After album is created, it will default to "Untitled." Click your cursor there and type desired name of Album, hit enter. You're done. More albums, rinse/repeat.

mikeroetex, you supplied some good instructions. I was able to create and name the album. But I have no idea where it is. My goal is to email this album to all of those folks who were in attendance at a birthday party. Also, folks need to realize that I do not have the brains god gave a goose when it comes to computers. So now you will need to guide me in the direction so that I can retrieve the album and send it along to others. Thanks much. ~FiddleMaker

Ok, here goes.
reopen the app from Google home page to your photo stream where you created the album. Left hand side, third icon down is the symbol for albums. Click on that. It will open a set of cover photos for all existing albums. Click on the one you want to send.
Top right of browser, second icon from the left, symbol looks like a less-than sign with connecting dots <.
Hover over it and the word "share" appears.
Click on the icon and a box opens offering 4 ways to share. Click on Get Link. The link will be your easiest to cut and paste and send by email.
But go one more step after sending link. You have to give receivers permission to access.
Go to the three vertical dots, hover and click on more options, then sharing options. Yet another box will open with sharing options. Slide the buttons over to activate sharing and the link will be active to those who you give it to.

If you have the Creative Cloud Photographers package, you get a free myportfolio page, which is very easy to set up.

Thanks for your help but I think I will try Flicker. The Google method of compiling an album then sending it is horribly confusing for me. At least with Picasa the whole process was much easier than the Google method.

OK, I finally succeeded in creating links to the albums I want to send out. I copied your instructions to a Word file and I keep this Word file visible so that I can see the individual instruction steps.
Thanks much for outlining the steps. I am not very computer literate which is why I struggle with this stuff. Back in the early 1980s I would not have had a problem. Back then I was writing computer source code in COBOL and Fortran but making the computer do simple tasks drove me nuts. -FiddleMaker
