A visit to Edinburgh castle, the soldier at the gun was getting it ready to fire at One o'clock hence it is called the One o'clock gun.
Excellent set, I used to visit Edinburgh a lot a few years ago with my work and it's one of my favourite cities in the Uk.

Very nice shots. The 'gun' looks out of place in what comes to mind when I think castle.
I really like the set.

Thanks, there are old canons all over the castle, such as Mons Meg, but that's the gun that is used for special events and the time check at 13.00pm
Great Gun! They are not always as clean and polished. Someone spent great loads if time, effort, and elbow grease on that polished muzzle brake alone.
Well treated, both physically and photographically.
Thanks for sharing.
PS. Love the hi-tech clock to control the 1:00 o'clock firing!
Thanks for those great images of Edinburgh
