Would like to know what size filter fits a Nikon coolpix P510
camera. Nothing in the user manual.

Is the inside of the lens front threaded? If not, then it isn't designed for screw-on filters; not all cameras are made to take filters. Cokin makes an adapter that for those kind of lenses. It fits their A size filter holder.

Look at the front of the lens for a marking like Φ with two numbers; the numbers are the filter size (in mm).

I found a thread in Nikon's P510 forum - apparently it is not designed for filters:

I would suggest looking at Cokin "A" filters, as they have a universal filter mount that should work for you.
