Second try a little better but still not as sharp as I had hoped. The Eagles didn't disappoint though! Still allot to learn and get you use to.

I think my Tamron AF 28-300 3.5-6.3 from 2000 I try to use for the reach may be having troubles at the 300 f6.3 on my 70D. Looks like either back to the 55-250 or step up to a newer 150-600 Tamron or Sigma Classic.

Thanks Jack! Afterward I wondered why I hadn't gone back to the car and switched back to the 55-250 (lower fstop glass). Although I was also using my polarizing filter as well. They look good till you download and then you can see how off they are. Try, Try Again!

Did you notice any nails along the turnoff. I think we got them all. Had a few drive by at excessive speed yelling at us. Aren't people wonderful. I was fuming mad.

Yes, a lady and her family stopped by and told us about the nails... they proceeded with a few others to look for nails and found a couple more handfuls, mostly where they had pulled up, across from the big tree near the road. That's the one in these shots... I was concerned if you might have gotten any in your tires.
