A male osprey brings a new stick to the nest at the Hiwassee River.
After that the female took off for a little flight over water.

Very nice capture. Were you shooting hand held. or on a tripod?
Love the reflection, Dianne! Very different and interesting.

Thank you, Pinenuts! Hand held, using a pistol grip. I appreciate the compliment. :)

Thanks, Linda! I thought the water and reflection were sort of pretty. :)

I like the set as well. Great catch of the eyes in#2 !! Could I ask about the pistol grip? Model? Light weight? What you like most about it?
Thank you
sleepydrdr,
Wonderful set!! You really nailed the focus on # 3. Very cool - sharp eyes and blurred wings, ... thanks for posting.

Love these pictures. The vibration control must be awesome on this lens. Looks like you and the 200-500 are doing well together. Renting one for this weekend. Can't wait.

Thank you, Digger1! I'm glad you like them. The pistol grip is Barska, you can get it on Amazon. It screws into the hole in the bottom of any camera that's made for your tripod, or into the tripod grip on larger cameras. We have several, last was $12.95. For me it keeps my left hand off of the camera so I don't accidentally push buttons I don't want to.
