Hope the mate makes it back. My parents had some geese. Geese mate for life and it's sad to see one just sitting around "surviving."

Glad the mate is back ! Chicken scratch feed is about $8.00 per 50# at Tractor Supply and they will love it,,but only give a little bit at a time or it will attrack trouble !! show us pics when they hatch ?? Thanks Ron

Goive them some corn, Sue. We raised Canada geese, Chinese geese and African geese for many years. I hope nothing has happened to her mate. They mate for life, so if he is gone, she will not have another.

I put out cracked corn for the malards on my ponds and the geese stop by they seem to like that too.

Seems like he comes 'n goes, Sarah. He wasn't there today the two times we checked, but bet if we went back around 9PM. he'd be there!

Thanks, Duckfart. We didn't see the mate today at all, but bet if we went back around 9PM. he'd be there. Last year he stuck by her side almost constantly! Don't know why he's not doing that now!

If you check out today's post, Ron, you'll see that someone left a bowl full of healthy "stuff" for her..seeds and cracked corn. If you double download you can see what's in the bowl really clearly! I sure will post pictures of the babies when they hatch! Stay tuned!

Thanks, Hal! She's got some! I tried to get a picture of the bowl full that someone left for her..it's corn and seeds and "stuff". When I double downloaded I could she it clearly.
