I love the thought of the train in the garden! my wife loves gardening and I had trains in the past. maybe some day if we move to a different climate we could do this.
I would love to see more of your trains

My wife's uncle had and enormous outdoor train display set up in his yard. There were multiple tracks and they were integrated with the shrubs and the garden. He ran both electric and steam and most of the equipment he built in his basement. This man was amazing; he could barely read or write due to really bad dyslexia but he could play multiple music instruments and make just about anything by hand.

Thanks! I would suppose a cold climate would be a bit of a hindrance, but these things run in the snow once the tracks are cleared. Lol.

I bet he he was amazing. I had a neighbor like that and he built #1 gauge steam and electric. He had a lathe and a Bridgeport and went to town; and everything worked! Amazing. Hell, I can't even play the stereo.

Taninkc: Tremendous idea with train suspended above the garden. Additional color will really add a special touch to the garden.

When you come over, you will see them. This week, I have been feeling run down all week. I asked for Saturday and Sunday off.

In 2008, I won an award with this setup, and yes, it was full of colour. The trestle is a necessity. The garden has a steep drop off There is 42 ft. of trestle, all hand made by me. The tallest is 3ft. above ground.

I hope your train will continue to run. It's always fun seeing it.
