Spotted a pair of Coots when I came back from grocery shopping this morning. So, I grabbed my trusty Tamzilla & headed up to the lake at the front of our apartment complex. The Coots were there but weren't very cooperative as far as letting me get close enough to get some good pictures. A pair of geese was out on the lake as I walked toward the club house. They swam close and I was able to get some good close up shots. One of our maintenance men stopped me as I walked through the gate and told me there was what he called a falcon nest by the phase 1 mail kiosk. Sure enough it was there. While I was shooting pictures of the nest, a hawk landed on nearby. It doesn't look like a falcon to me. Can any of you experts identify it?

The hawk looks like a Coopers hawk.

It is a Coopers, look at the thickness of the legs, ruling out a Sharp-shinned Hawk that has pencil-thin legs.
Sharp-shinned - Pencil thin legs
Looks more like a male goshawk; the unstreaked breast is the clue.
