Sony A7r here. I am also shooting with Nikon and Nokia. What is the purpose of this collection of Sony shooters?

Help, specific advice on your model, probably less distractions and certainly less advice on buying Brian Pattersons books or whatever he is called as a solution to the world's woes.

Hi all.

I have been judiciously adding Sony shooters to my buddy list wherever I see them. I now have 82 in my list. We are growing.

Am only up to page 9, but still seeing very little mirrorless (shudder) representation (maybe 1 RX100 & a NEX or two). Are we allowed to be in the same room?

Good for you! I think you made the right choice ~ especially if this is your first Sony(Konica-Minolta) digital camera. Several of us who used Konica-Minolta film cameras in ancient times, took this (your) path and we're glad we did. If you ever bump into one of the modern Sony Chinese-made primes at a bargain price (under $200), I think you'll find it a worthy addition to your collection (if you happen to use that focal length).

The Sony a6000 will probably have a lot to teach you about digital photography.
