Help with saving edited photos in PSE 10 & CS5

When I save edited photos in PSE 10 or CS5 The white boarder that downloaded with the photo from my camera disappears.
I save from the file dropdown menu. I never had this problem when using a PC, and earlier versions of photshop and photoshop elements, but I recently switched to a Macbook 10.7.
Any ideas are appreciated.

I use Elements 10 on a PC and never had white borders. Or with any other software I've used. Which I wouldn't want anyways. That's a strange one. Is there possibly a camera setting that will cause the picture to have a border? Then possibly the software automatically crops it out to show just the image. I'm sure someone a lot smarter than me will come up with the answer. Also might help to know the camera you use.

What camera are you using? I have never seen a camera that put out white borders either. May I ask why you would want white borders on a photo that hasn't been processed it seems that it would throw off the color balance of the photo.
Welcome to Ugly Hedgehog by the way. We are glad to have you here , and someone will have an answer for you.

The white boarders is only the way it appears in the folder. It actually doesn't have a white boarder.

I found the answer to my own question the white boarder around the photo is a function of the Mac operating system. Once the photo is edited the boarder disappears. It's done so that it's easy to see which photos have been edited.
