That's how I track what has been edited and what hasn't.
One thing that concerns me is that if you are doing anything with LR 4, and raw files, those changes won't be saved. LR doesn't actually save the image with changes, it saves a "sidecar file" that has the edits in it, so your original isn't altered. It is possible to keep moving the files back and forth, but I would be concerned about it all getting very confusing as far as versions of edits. You would have to import all the images AND edits, every time you go back and forth between machines. JPEGS and photoshop or Photoshop elements will open fine on both computers, and I would use the above method to keep it all straight.
Now, I really hope that I put into words what the voices in my head were telling me :roll: I'm a 100% raw shooter, but when it comes to moving around to various machines, and managing the lightroom changes, I'm a complete idiot, so only half listen to what I say. (like my wife and kids) and you should be fine. :oops:
