The puppy looks like a Border Collie, one the smartest breeds, paired with the Canon you should have years of enjoyment with both of them.

We've had several (BC's) over the years and all of them are the most active dogs I've ever owned. I'm more into St. Bernards now...

If he isn't active now he soon will be ... 'cause that dog needs a lot of exercise. Someone told me once that if a Border Collie isn't given something to do (herding in that case) it will find something or someone to herd.
