Damn it, don't post stuff like this, now I want one.

Over 30 years ago when I was a mailman somebody on my route had a world war two artillery cannon. It was kept at a State police station and he used it during military ceremonies and other events. It shot blanks during these creremonies but he did get to shoot live rounds a couple of times when doing events for army brass. Said it was a hell of a rush.

There's a Civil War battle re-enactment coming up nearby in a couple of weeks . I went to it last year and the final day they fire up the old canons (blanks of course) but the sound and smoke are awesome. I'm going to film some video from my drone and put it on Vimeo. I'll try to remember to post a link.

Well at least you didn't waste a good beer. That's normally my case. Keep a plastic sheet over your keyboard just to be safe. I'm working on a design for keyboard condoms right now. I just have to line up a manufacturer in China.

Wow, just read up on the approved list in California. It looks like in less that 10 years it may be all but impossible to purchase a pistol as older models are replaced by manufacturers.

I know. Very sad and getting worse.

I thought that Michigan would be far removed from the Civil War and did a quick search and found some interesting info.

They ain't the only one but it's not feasible. All states are too dependent on Federal money. It's a little ironic that states have to kiss fed ass to get the money stolen from the taxpayers to begin with.

Cutting taxes on corporations/industry creates jobs. That doesn't mean rich individuals. Hell yes. If you make $300,000,000 a year as an individual you should pay more than a person (percentage wise) than an hourly worker making 30K a year. But with the US charging the third highest corporate taxes in the world it's no wonder jobs are going overseas.
