The other day I edited a lot of B&W photos and then copied them to a thumb drive. I forgot to empty my pockets when I threw my pants into the washing machine. To my horror I discovered the thumb drive in the washer, it had been through wash cycle, rinse cycle, and spin cycle. I put the thumb drive in my pocket and when I was at Wal-mart, I decided to see if the photos survived the washer and to my surprise the photos were in tact.
There was this pretty woman from Arizona who murdered her husband. They were caught up in strange sexual rituals. She removed the SD and put it in the washing machine to destroy evidence. The police found it in the wash.. Presto, evidence. She was convicted of murder. Never underestimate the durability of electrical devices. A digital camera would not have survived this washing act.
