Just took a ride over to the museum. Located next to Bradley Int. Airport at Windsor Locks, Ct. Definitely worth a visit!

I remember that UH-1B instrument panel. Flew them in the Army Flt. School at Ft. Rucker and our gun ships in the 117th Avn. Company in Qui Nhon, Vietnam in 1964-65. A lifetime ago. Thanks for the memories.

That pic of the Thompson reminds me of when in Vietnam I traded a couple case of beer for one from a couple of special forces guys. Just had to have that gun. Then after I got it I realized as a helicopter pilot probably the only time I would need something like that is if I was shot down. I considered the weight of the gun and ammo and decided a M2 carbine would be a better choice.

Here are some more, but not the Flying Tigers I'm afraid.
Photographing in the museum was a bit challenging because of all the reflective surfaces. The A-26 cockpit photos were shot through the plexiglass canopy, for example.
