I think the majority of people in the nutritional world now agree that there is a strong connection between the increase in all cancer types and our increase in sugar consumption.

Sugars, carbs and amino-acids increase risk factor and speed of growth of cancers.

Simple carbs, such as white flour, sugar, etc., are bad for us. But complex carbs, such as whole grains, are good for us because of the nutrients and fiber.

Not all carbs are bad. Fruit has natural sugar (carbs) but it provides many other nutrients that we need.

It's good they didn't say spaghetti. When Italians couldn't afford other and probably healthier foods, they ate spaghetti...the noodles were made and cut at home, as was the sauce. My Dad ate so much spaghetti growing up that he thought he'd never want another bowl. My grandmother made the best spaghetti for over 70 years....you'd think the whole family would be falling down from lung cancer!!! Thank goodness spaghetti was exempt from this list!!!

Too high of a carb diet increases the blood sugar level which is food for cancers, not to mention diabetics is bad also. I guess it's all in moderation.

That is home made (healthier) and a whole lot different than commercial made.
