Nice images, but I thought they were taken with a Pentax.

No, but the first one seems to have a little sharper focus to it.

It REALLY depends on the lens. Both Nikon and Canon should be able to shoot about the same image, that is, if Canon has fixed its banding issue on its DSLRs. I haven't checked it lately. Six or seven years ago, the top Canon DSLRs had awful banding on gradations. I actually quit the PPA because they printed Canon banding on a "contest winning" image in their magazine which tells me of thorough lack of professional knowledge in their ranks. Banding, when it exists, can be FIXED. Anyone who worked with the early 8 bit drum scanners knows this stuff.

I don't know anything about banding issues....but the Nikon lens isNikkor70-200, canon is EF 55-200.
Both photos, same setting. 100, 1/125, f8

Not sure which is which but to my eye #1 is sharper but has a slight green cast to it. #2 is a larger picture but you should have had control of that. Great shots.

looking at these makes one wonder where Andy Williams has gotten off to.

we can definetly rule out keith moon and famed Korean cult leader sun yung moon. And thanks to the andy williams comment I can't get moon river out of my head, nor blue moon or blue moon of kentucky. guess i am a LUNAtic.
