Listen, I don't know what you are all talking about. If you eat one of my brownies you can easily tell that I used Duncan Hines brownie mix with Spartan brand canola oil, filtered tap water, and Eggland's Best Grade A Large eggs. You will further be able to tell that they were baked in a Delux nonstick baking pan placed in a GE Profile self cleaning electric oven. One taste gives it all away.

So, when you look at one of prints you can easily see that I used a Nikon body with a Tamron F3.5-5.6 70-300 autofocus VC lens. It's also easy to tell that I processed the RAW file in Lightroom, exported as a tiff file into Photoshop, edited it for composition, exported the final image as a jpeg, and sent it to my Epson R2000 wide format printer. Isn't it obvious? I have a good oven and a great camera.

It has nothing to due with equipment Jerry and everything to do with talent. Congrats Jerry!!!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I agree with "Haydon"....

When out on location(s) from time to time I have had someone say ... "You should get an Up-Grade." (I shoot sometimes with my 4X5 and 8X10 View Cameras)....
Then I bring out the 5D Mark II..... They walk away - smiling.

I did a photo shoot for a female friend of mine; she wanted to build her portfolio. She had gone to a pro who charged her $400 and someone (I'm not sure who) botched the shoot. I pulled out my shoot through umbrellas, my speed lights, my lens and camera. At the end of the shoot she was blown away and said, "You have a really good lens, don't you?"

I met a local woman today, and she said she looked at my web site and like the pictures. "You must have a very good camera. The focus and the colors are very good. It must be a very nice camera." I agreed with her.

I've heard stories about that, but this is my first experience with that type of compliment. I should have said, "I'll forward your compliment to Nikon." :D

You could have told her how pretty she was... so she must have really great make-up and an excellent mirror at home!

Jerry, ignorance is bliss. I would suppose that's the only way to take it.

Next time wink at her and with a huge smile say, "*All* my gear is superlative!"

I well remember--maybe 40 years ago when I got my first Nikon Ftn--and the pictures looked exactly like the ones I had been taking with my Argus C3

Just say, "Yeah, it's amazing how good polaroids are..." and watch the "deer-in-headlights" look glaze over their eyes.

Or just pull out your cell phone and say, "Yeah, these things just keep getting better!"

You just proved correct what I've heard about the Wild and Wacky NY women, "She was hitting on you!"
