I may have missed something, but I don't see a way to delete part of a message when I do a reply in Gmail. If I receive a very long email, and I am replying to it, I often like to delete all or part of it. That doesn't seem to be possible with Gmail.

If you use "forward" rather than reply, you can delete whatever you want from the original message.

Once I choose REPLY or FORWARD the original message shows up in the new email and may now be deleted in part or in whole.

I could do that with Windows Mail, but not Gmail. Now I know that I have to click on those three dots.

Whenever I want to edit a msg. so I can forward part of the original, I always use FORWARD which means I'm now in charge of any and all content.
