got a recent camera from my wife it is a olympus E-PL5
has any one used it or have a working knowledge on it ,
good ,bad or differ , also got several lenses
thank you for that still going to wait for actual person that has used one
I hope you at least read the reviews and you are not just waiting for one person to report.
Download the manual from the mfg website and load in on your phone or tablet. You'll always have it with you.

Just curious as to why you are waiting for others to comment. Why aren't you out in the field testing it out and creating your own opinions on the camera/lens? :?: Then you can pass them on to us.

And say thanks to your wife for getting for you.

My answer to you topic title is: "Of course I have an opinion."
If you get an answer it will likely be a biased one (good or bad) by that person. I agree that either your wife or yourself should go use it and form your own opinions. Those are the only opinion's that really count. Reading reviews can give you some insight but there is nothing like finding out for yourself. Good Luck.
I love Micro 4/3 cameras. Go shoot and have fun!
You know, I am certain of this, that a camera or a lens are only tools. They only perform well when we do our part.
I am not familiar with the EPL-5 but the results that I have seen from it so far have been very pleasant.
If you do not have the manual downloaded from the Olympus site do that and learn your camera well.
It will reward you with great shots.

I have had several Olympus film and digital cameras, have an old Canon film camera, and a Hasselblad. I have yet to be able to "kill" or work to death any of my Olympus cameras. Although I have never owned an E-PL5, it is a very good camera and will serve you well. Most photographers buy one to use it as a street camera, but it can be used for any type of photograghy. I find the one "con" against all the "pros" is it lacks a viewfinder. You can buy a viewfinder that fits in the hotshoe.
I use that camera for artistic work. I put old manual lenses on it (with adapter) and have fun with flowers and bokeh. My only suggestion is to put a grip on it. I dropped it a very short distance while doing a macro - maybe 6 or 8" and it shattered the screen. Had it have it fixed. None of my other cameras would have shattered like that.

I actually have one. It's my go-to camera. The only quirk it seems to have is that the preview blinks a very brief image of slightly after the shutter press, and then shows the correct captured image. There are a lot of deep menus, but most of them are not things you change often.

Which lenses do you have? Mine are listed below.
