Before you subscribe to N-Photo though myfavoritemagazines be aware that not all the goodies portrayed in their advertising may be available to US subscribers. First of all I like N-Photo and responded to a December promotion advertising goodies with a membership plus subscription to include either a lowpro camera bag or monopod, depending upon which offer your responded to. The one I subscribed to offered the lowepro camera bag, one year subscription, magazine binder, digital edition access and other goodies. It was expensive ($180.00 reg $215,00) but with everything they offered I though it was ok. I was wrong.

After I subscribed, they sent me my account log on and once on, I found out the digital edition was not available for PC. Mac, I-Pad and Android only. First disappointment. In February I finally received my first magazine. Love the magazine. No goodies yet so I contacted customer service as to when I was going to receive the lowepro camera bag. I got an email back stating that promo was available only to UK subscriptions - no goodies. I emailed them back expressing my displeasure asking them to revert my subscription to regular and refund the difference from the plus membership. Have not heard back.

Just want to warn anyone subscribing to N-Photo, be sure to ask what specifically is included and what is not. Two issues are disturbing. Digital issues do not include PC versions and not all items in the promo are available to US subscribers.

Has anyone else experience a problem like I have?

When I subscribed there was no special offers, or at least I wasn't aware of any. I really enjoy the magazine, I find it informative and helpful. It's pretty expensive, but for me it's worth it. I think it's better than US based magazines which are mostly advertising. N-Photo has advertising too, but not to the degree as most US mags.

As good as it is, the price is the killer for me. It used to come with a DVD each month.

I discovered that a couple of years ago. I do find the magazine very useful even with it's higher cost. I have since only subscribe to the digital edition which is $59.99 (US) + tax and mostly read it through the iPad. If there are specific articles I want to pull out, I use a capture software to pull them as a PDF.

Magazine subscriptions through any service other then the magazine itself are very often problematic. A third party service that offers inducements, such as the gear you mentioned, are always suspect.
Deal only with the magazine itself, or, if they require the use of a subscription service, use only the one they specify.
There are a lot of very shady services operating. It's pretty much an unregulated industry here in the US. The worst ones are the ones that call you out of the blue (known as "cold calls" ) and offer a half dozen subscriptions worded in such a way as to make you think you are getting a bargain. You actually end up paying 5 to 10 times the cost of subscribing through the magazines themselves. My sister, in her '60's, who lives alone, and is very trusting and somewhat naive, got hooked by several of these scams. Would have cost her thousands. Fortunately, I saw what was going on and put an end to it.
Magazine scams are big business. Be careful!

I get the Canon equivalent and have had no troubles with it. It's kind of neat with all the videos imbedded in it. Sorry for your problems. I enjoy the magazine, the Brits have humor!

I am a long term subscriber to Photo Plus magazine, the Canon version of N-Photo, from the same publisher. While it's unfortunate the e version is not available on PC and the promos are not available outside the UK, and perhaps part of Europe, the information indicating that had been clearly stated In all the ads I've seen. Perhaps in haste you missed it?

I have been using imsnews for my Photo Plus subscription for the last five years. International Media Service is first rate and a lot cheaper than what you spent. They are located in Virginia, I believe, and you can call and speak to a real person if you have a question or issue at their customer service number 800-428-3003. No waiting for email responses.

Thirteen issues of N-Photo are $118. I attached links to both their home page and the N-Photo page.

I don't disagree with what you said. This is the only reference I could find on their current offers: "All images used are for illustrative purposes only. Individual benefits such as the gifts, special editions and DVD’s may vary." Not very specific to me. Also, no where do they say digital editions are not available for PC use. The offer I responded to was for "Membership Plus" which was supposed to provide extra "goodies" for the additional cost. I just think their advertising is deceptive and not as specific as it should be. I don't want others to make the same mistake/expectations as I did. That doesn't change the fact that it's a great magazine.

Did you see my reference to imsnews and their costs as well as a live person to speak to? At the price you paid, even if you got those goodies, they would not have been free since you spent $62 more than you needed to for the subscription, and DVDs come with the magazine. There is no extra charge for them

I was not aware there are different services offering subscriptions to N-Photo. "mwsilvers" provided a link to imsnews.com. My subscription was through MyFavouriteMagazines which is part of Future plc, an international media group and digital publisher. My beef is with them. I am not aware of any way to subscribe directly to N-Photo, which would be my first option. Thanks, guys for all your replies. One can always get the straight skinny from UGHH!

I just went on MyFavouriteMagazines website. Their regular N-Photo subscription, without the "extras", costs $110.
