We must have arrived shortly after the action. Too bad. The alligator must have been afraid that we were going to take his lunch - he did not like us watching him and quickly swam off, meal in mouth.

Wow Steve that would have been quite a series if you had arrived a little earlier. Maybe not one you would have wanted to post though!

We see lots of gators and have always wondered why we don't see them eating - I imagine they do a lot of their eating early in the morning. It would have been interesting to see! Normally we watch them as they lie there motionless for hours it seems - it seems they are just waiting for some hapless bird to let down its' guard and get just a little TOO close in front of them - and pow! If I had more patients I would go and sit there for hours... but I am not that patient.

I seem to remember that you are a doctor, "If I had more patients...". It shows.
