Great subject Anne. Thanks for hosting.
There's a story behind the photo's I've been working on. A friend of mine paid a photographer to come and do some photography work for her. She had all the family in for this photo shoot. Needless to say, there were some things lacking in the work. So, my friend asked if I could work on the photos the photographer submitted. Here are a few of the things I worked on.
In the worked copy below, I straightened the fireplace, cloned out the sliding glass door, the shadow on the wall by the door, the wall ornament sticking out of the young ladies head on the left. Cropped and cloned out the chairs, added carpet and base boards. I think the crosses on the wall are still a bit distracting, but my friend wanted those left in the photo.

Since I "won" Lightroom when we were in Maine, I have taken several classes on trying to learn how to use it. Still having to practice alot. Thought it wold be interesting what everyone else does. On the 1st one the deers eyes were green. On the 2nd one, I tried to fix them.
Congratulations on winning Lightroom. I started using Lightroom a little over a year ago. My instruction came from going to YouTube and watching videos about Lightroom.
Thanks for hosting this challenge. It looks like you are learning to use Lightroom.
Since most of my shooting lately has been of birds, I'll share one that I took today.
Excellent Sunnybuck! Well done!

Came up with just a couple so far...Caught my grandson staring out the window at a museum (he was watching the boats in Portland Harbor). I wanted a soft portrait. The other example was last summer and was very simple. The original was blahhh so thought I'd try a silhouette. Just noticed in reviewing the similarity in the poses.
The original, SOC
All done in LR: cropped, straightened, used healing brush to remove the donut crumbs from his mouth, used dodge to bring out the catch light in his eye, used one of the soft portrait settings in LR, some color adjustments and a little vignette
Original SOC
All done with LR presets: crop, one of the BW sets, added some grain and a little bit of vignette

Sunnybuck...All I can say is wow.
lnightng7... Like what you did with your landscape. and the distorted resturant is interesting.
Mary1946....I like birds but usually don't get them very good.
PAToGraphy....I like what you did with your grandson . Your silhouette is good too.
I have to get ready for work but wanted to do something before I left. The before shot needed a little help and I uses sliders on lightroom. Then I added the text and stars using tuxpi.
