Hi,
I need a new lens for my Canon Rebel who has the best prices? What is a good all around lens for this camera?
Thanks.

you might also look into the 55-250 IS. B&H sells it for under $300 (I think). It covers a lot of visual territory and I use it for my walk-around lens. Nat
I use the 28-135mm quite a bit.
Depends on what your main subjects are. Low light? Start with the one arphot said: 50mm. Also good for portraits. Outdoors? Go with nat's suggestion of the 55-250 IS. It's not a fast lens and won't do indoor sports or low light. If you do low light or sports you want an f2.8 or faster (lower numbers) If you shoot outdoors or flash, you can go with a larger minimum fstop number. (usually less money)
Google "canon lenses" and you'll find sites that tell you the difference in lenses and what they're good for.

Best prices are from Amazon, B&H or Adorama. Be sure to factor in shipping.
If you get the new 18-55 IS, the 55-250 IS, and the Nifty Fifty, you'll have an excellent starter set for 99% of everything you'll need to shoot, until you learn enough to not have to ask questions on an Internet forum anymore.
Not that asking is a bad thing. But after a year or two on the forums, you'll realize that 99.9% of everybody else out there is just like you, and the other 1/10th of one percent are pros who will attempt to mystify you with a lot of bullcrap. (Photo geeks are no different than computer geeks - they like to keep the common folk in the dark, so they can practice their black magic more easily..
And I can say that because I'm both! :-P
