"Natural laws" could mean a lot of things. What does it mean when you say it?

It means what it meant to the founders.

Laws of Nature and Natures God...explaided in simple terms by Bastiat in his Treatise titled THE LAW.

Just laws are based on natural rights....a democracy is nothing more than mob rule and popular rule. But the constitution tells the government they can not violate natural rights and are restricted to powers that the people possess and therefor delegate to government. Government should not be anything consented by the governed...it should only be as I just described with the qualifying word "JUST powers" consented (delegated) to the governed.

I highly recommend this treatise by Bastiat. It is like reading current news in parts of it. The same goes for Atlas Shrugged. Master pieces.

We're not? Then why do most right wingers lament how we've gone socialist?

Because of all the failed democrat social programs, business stifling laws
and giving jobs to everyone who is not an American, internationally.

Regardless of what you call it...we are in a Country that violates property and natural law. We are in a country that has a tyrannical government that does everything the King did when the declaration was established.

We are not in a country of government restrained by the people enforcing the limitations on government. (Article 1 Section 8 )

A thief is bad, a person who hires his politician to do the stealing for him is equally bad if not more so.

Yep, and no more freedom of religion.

When did the word "socialism" end being a filthy dirty word for you Thom?

Wait. So are you saying we have or we have not gone socialist? I'm confused now.

You tell me. You're the one who claimed that there is no more freedom of religion in America.

Also, when people use purposely hyperbolic labels, they put themselves into a box. After 7 years of the right wing insisting that Obama has dragged this country into a marxist-communist dystopia, they have inadvertently limited their options in attacking Bernie Sanders. Obama, they screamed over and over again, was the most extreme leftist president in history. But now they want to scream that Bernie Sanders is now the most extreme marxist commie that you can be. But...OOOPS! They already used up that label on Obama, so now they are in a pickle. They now have to either admit that, well, ok, Obama didn't really make us marxist commie, or they would have to stop saying that Bernie Sanders would change this country into marxism communism, cuz if Obama already has, then how could Bernie?

They keep forgetting the draw backs of their childish hyperbolic scare-mongering crap: It has such a short shelf-life, and they end up destroying their credibility in the process, while rendering certain words meaningless.

Just like the way the government used to scare monger about marijuana back in the day when they made all kinds of ridiculous hyperbolic claims of its danger, inadvertently accomplishing the opposite of what they intended by making some kids decide that if the government is lying about marijuana, then maybe they are lying about the harder drugs too. Conservatives have rendered the world "socialism" more and more benign to the young generations by over-using it so absurdly. Now a record number of Americans polled these days consider "socialism" as a good thing. Conservatives have themselves at least partly to blame for this.
