Birds of Riparian Preserve

Shots taken at various times at Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, AZ. This is a wonderful, easy to manage (nice flat walk to easily carry equipment) water preserve right in the middle of the desert. There are 9 ponds, any of which can be full at any time, used to filter gray water back to the aquifer. Depending on time of year, many migratory birds congregate. I've even seen a pelican there.

Nice shots. There should have been a warning before #2 popped up. I think the goose in the fog is really great.

Great capture of those birds. My favorite is the first one because of the reflection. Great exposure and color.

Stunning, very well done shots, Tom! I just love #2; it looks like he's peeking around a corner into your shot! He must've been a favorite of yours, too, since there are three shots of him! :)

Yes, he kind of followed me around. Three shots on two separate trips to the preserve.

Really nice set, but I like #7 the Canadian Honker.
