As a long-time aficionado of traditional street photography, I am getting used to what I see as the recent (past 25 years) introduction of color in the street genre. In this image, content and composition-wise an excellent street image, I feel that the contrast between the story-front colors with the subdued blues and grays of the duds of the travelers to be effective.
I do, indeed, like the image!

I like this scene: colors, people, building.
Well captured.

Richard - I'm afraid I do not understand this "urgent" distinction between "street" and "architectural and traditional street". There doesn't seem to be any need for two sites for which the subject matter is so close to being identical. This is a nice scene and whatever the categorization it works for me.

Thanks Ralph.
There have been a few words in some of the forums about what "street" photography is and I don't agree with all of the statements.
I will leave it at that.

Personally I know what I like and with the architectural side of things you are right, there is a lot of overlap.

Though I personally think B&W works for most street shots, the color in this one works very well.

Richard, glad to see this posted here !!! I like this image very much and I'll have to tell you it screams B&W but not to take away from what you have done here. Maybe suggest a crop from the top down some? Not sure just a thought. Well done.
