Why Germans Don't Play Scrabble

Just a subtlety, but in your translation of the statement "You are right" the word "right" when applied to a person would be interpreted to mean "not crazy."

Had you tried to say the negative or opposite, "Sie sind nicht richtig," you would not be saying "You are wrong," but rather "You are not right," as in "You are crazy, loony, nuts."

The correct way to say this is, "Ja, Sie haben Recht."
