Isn't Africa wonderful.
Great shots.
Did you have any encounter with a snake this trip?

You have a very good memory philo! No snakes seen on this outing, everyone had to stay in the Landrover. Only allowed out when we stopped in a safe place for morning coffee or for tipples when watching the sun go down. Then no lying on the floor. :-)
Yes Africa is a beautiful country to visit be it on Safari or sight seeing. Thank you for your kind comments, I appreciate them very much. :D

I would love to go to Africa. I have a nephew going this spring for his third trip over there. I was at my brother's Friday and they'd hung one of his on the wall inthe living room, wish I had taken a photo of it. An impala, I think, running through some water and the splash's super sharp and a full reflection of the animal in the water. Went into the sister in laws office and another of a Cape Buffalo standing in water with a lion attacking it. The nephew recently got a 44" wide printer and there re 36"x72". They are increadable! I envy those people that can go to Africa!

It sounds as if he has seen lots of action, how thrilling. All quiet while I was there!!
Always appreciate you looking in Don, thank you very much. :D

Sorry to disappoint Tom.....no snakes were seen! Always a pleasure to read your comments appreciate them very much, pleased you were impressed. Did you like the big cat? ;) :-D
No, I did not like the big cat. All I could think of who is going to change out the litter box?

I wish you would have photographed some snakes. I would like to have seen some Monty Pythons!

Very nice set Sylvias- it is amazing how large some newborns are-- a few tidbits that I learned with regard to identifying species: impala has a black "M" on its tush for Mpala
the zebras stripes in one species meet under the belly and do not in the other species--(they won't mate until they reveal their stripes--)

Great series, Sylvia. Thanks for posting the leopard. We were lucky enough to get closer to juvenile leopards. Guess they are less cautious.

Nice shot. Must have been a great trip. I would have paid extra not to have to sit in the rear, high set!

That back seat can have benefits, particularly when a juvenile male lion plops down right behind you and you realize if someone held on to your ankles you could reach down and pet it. Nice for photography.
