Probably somewhere around Acts 4:32-5. Where the people were selling their possessions, and dividing the money with the poor. It is also probably a note, as it is in the Catholic cannon laws for Priests and such.
You mean Catholic Priest taking a vow of poverty... The only place in the Bible that I can see Priest taking a vow of poverty is in the Old Testament were the priestly tribe of Levi does not receive an inheritance. They lived off the offering that was brought to God. Could this be it... I do not know.
I do not see it in Acts 4:32-

Dirtpusher was talking about the Evangelist, were supposed to take a vow of poverty. I know about the tribe of Levi. Like I said the only thing in the NT, coming close, is the selling of property and goods by the early church. That was the reference Act 4:32-35. I checked the New American Bible in that area, and did not find anything particularly unusual there. Or related to a vow of poverty. That was just a guess as to where it might be in the Douay.

Well I need to lay it down for the night, but I did find online where an ex priest who took a vow of poverty. Won recently 258 million dollars in a power-ball lottery. Worked well for him didn't it. Ok good night. :)

I can not find anything in my Bibles by doing a word search on evangelist taking a vow of poverty. I do not have any Catholic Bibles of course and I have 16 Bibles on my Computer. Not the two that you had mention either.
If you remember or find it then please post it.

I think you way under estimate the power of the human mind. I'm not saying you aren't feeling the spirit but I don't think a feeling proves it.
God gave humans free will, thom.

Yes he did, and look at the choice Adam made with his free will. ItÂ’s the same choice you, or I would have made given the same circumstances.
Had not God from eternity past chosen to save some, all would be lost. That is not something to be puffed up, or brag about, but something to be thankful for. :)
Got lots of things to do right now, catch you later.
