.... just before. $750! Done deal. To replace my D90. Will have a D90 body and some stuff up for sale.

That was the deal I was waiting for. it was mentioned on NikonRumors and as soon as it came in my inbox i jumped on it.

I suspect that they wont last long! I ordered the two year repair/replacement warranty for $25 also.

Now i have to figure what SD cards to get. Now i can buckle down and plan my glass purchases.

Adorama has SanDisk Extreme PRO SDHC/SDXC UHS-II Memory Card 32gb for $74 each.

Perhaps overkill but i want to invest in the best.

I don't think D7200 supports UHS II (I know D7100 and D750 don't).
I have not seen a statement from Nikon whether D500 will.

Congratulations on buying the D7200. (I have the D7100 & like it a lot - but there are some nice little improvements in the D7200) I would agree with orrie smith as regards SD Cards; Sandisk. - Try their Extreme or Extreme Plus versions in 32GB capacity; - nice fast card. (Their Extreme Pro are a bit pricey & a bit of an overkill - (imo).
regards, Danny J.

congrats, try sandisk 32gb. with two slots that will give you plenty of room and two 32gb are sometimes cheaper than 1 64gb, supply and demand???

I bought two of the 32 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro cards (95 mbps) from Adorama for $24.95 each.

Many here said they bought “CGS” screen protectors. Mine is “Promaster”, which my local camera shop sells. Not glass, but plastic. About $12, I think. I’d rather have glass, but they didn’t have glass ones. Still, it’s better than leaving the screen without any protection at all. I’m happy with it.

So your second card is backup, are they both in raw, or jpg?

Great decisions. I'm a fan of Sandisk, especially their higher speed sdcards like the 96mbs. I never use a larger than 32gb card and I always set up the second slot as a backup. I had a couple bad cards some years ago and lost my day's work. I recently had a bad card, but with the dual card slots, I just held my breath and got the second card out. Bingo.

The brown truck arrived. What a sweet piece of machinery! The camera I mean. Although we have all come to love the Brown Truck!

What’s a waste of money? Buying the glass ones? Mine is plastic and it’s good enough for me. $12 was a bit steep for a small piece of plastic, but I figured what the heck.
