Hi Everyone, I'm a new member and looking forward to critique of my photos, so that I can improve. Any suggestions will be welcome. I've gone through many photos on the Hog and stand in awe of many of the submissions. Looking forward to all your comments. Pictures below taken in Botswana, Africa with my Canon 60D + EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens. Shaka, Brisbane, Australia

You have done pretty well, I think your lion might be a hair under exposed but nice captures over all.

I think with the lion I would have full cropped onto the moggys face and filled the frame. Nice shots though.

Hi 3Stripes - Thank you for your critique. I'll see what I can do about the moggy's face to fill the frame, as you suggest.

Welcome...

1- I'd put the background out of focus

2- nice but is soft focus..maybe you wanted it to be

3- same comments as 2 and also watch the crop

Keep posting

Nice shots, the lion is a little under but still nice I probably would of ran them through Nik's Pro 4 for color.

The Vulture is very good.
The lions are a bit underexposed and somewhat dull. They could use a little brightening and contrast.
These comments are meant to be constructive.

Hi photoflash - Thank you for your comments. I didn't know that we could use something like Nik's Pro 4 for colour. I'll have a go and see what I can achieve. If I'm going off at a tangent then please let me know.

Hi bigcoz - Thank you for your feedback. I too think that the vulture is good - may personal favourite. The cheetah and lion are not as good and your comments re contract and brightness are valued critique. I'll try to do what you suggest and see what results I get. The vulture and cheetah, above, have been cropped but I didn't think that I could play around with anything else. Both you and photoflash make the same observations. Thank you.
