Seniors and computers.
As we Silver Surfers know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers.
Yesterday, I had a problem, so I called Georgie, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.
Georgie clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?
He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Georgie grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?
'No,' I replied.
'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'
So I wrote down:
ID10T
I used to like Georgie, the little shithead.
In my office it's "PEBAC".
Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair.
That's how my son treats me anytime I ask him a tech related question. I can't complain, though. He got me something for Christmas called Google Chrome Chromecast that lets me connect my computer and stereo wirelessly. I think he got tired of tripping across the wire I had strung across the living room floor.
:-D :-D
My son-in-law, an IT guy, fixes mine. I know he thinks that, but he doesn't say it.
Very funny! I can relate.......

I know just how you feel...
I had a problem with my PC.
My son now is an IT professional with a large hospital.
He came over and tinkered on the keyboard for just a little while and it was fixed. I had spent hours trying to figure out just what I had done to the thing.
I guess that I'm a user not a techie.
