You don't know how to drive a snowmobile?

Maybe easier for a snowman?

I've been watching this on the BBC World News Hershel. I love your first picture if love is the right word regarding those conditions.

I don't think we have seen snow, here in the UK, like that since 1963.

My pleasure. The children are having a blast whilst bemoaning the fact that it didn't snow on a school day.

Thank you Graham. It wouldn't be winter in the northeast without one good snow and hopefully this will be the only one. The city is already starting to get back to life in terms of travel restrictions being lifted and public transportation slowly coming back on line. Even B&H will be opening at 12 p.m. so as not to disappoint the tourists.

Indeed! One good snow is fine for me. Supposed to drop down to 16 degrees tonight and all of the slush will freeze and then thaw on Tuesday when we expect a 45 degree temp. Will probably get a good "Black Snow" photo on Wednesday or Thursday.

Very nice. I love the atmosphere of the first photo which brings back many memories from times when we have had a lot of snow and taken walks in the late dusky afternoons.

The lighting is spot on with the natural brightness of the snow and the street light putting the two figures into almost silhouette.

The city has begun replacing much of its old sodium vapor street lights with powerful LED's and I think it will make for much improved night photography conditions which admittedly to date I have not done much of.
